HISTORY
Pitch Opening 1st May 2010
|
2010 was a historic year for Dromara GAC.. On the first May Bank Holiday weekend we will officially open our new training pitch with two days of celebration. The weekend will include matches at St Michaels Park from all grades of football and camogie. The climax of the weekend will be a Gala Evening in the Slieve Donard Hotel Newcastle, with very Special Guests Jarlaith Burns and Martin McHugh. As 2010 also marks the twentieth anniversary of Dromara’s greatest football success, the 1990 Intermediate Championship. That squad and management will be reunited and honoured during the event, along with the successful camogie team of the early 1990s. Tickets for this historic and what promises to be memorable night are now available from any committee member. After the honour of winning the Irish News Small Club of the Year last May, Dromara continue to build. In 2010 Gaels from Dromara will participate in every grade of Football from under 8 to senior and in junior and senior camogie. With hard work and commitment by every committee member, team mentor and player, 2010 will bring success, progress and pride to Dromara GAC.
